According to the State Tax Service, in 2025, the IT sector increased tax revenues to the consolidated budget. Compared to 2024, the amount of taxes paid increased by 34% and reached UAH 43.4 billion. Of this amount, UAH 28.21 billion was paid by legal entities, and UAH 15.19 billion was paid by individual entrepreneurs.
Usually, the largest contributions came from companies and specialists working in the areas of KVED 62.0 — “Computer programming” and “Consulting on informatization issues,” while the smallest contributions came from companies engaged in “Computer equipment management activities.”
As for Zakarpattіa, at the end of 2025, tax revenues from IT companies and specialists in the region amounted to UAH 236 million, which is 2.3% of all revenues to the local budget, demonstrating a stable contribution to the development of the region even in the face of economic and security challenges.
Uzhhorod is the leader in terms of revenue:
- 2024 — ₴78.5 million
- 2025 — ₴97.3 million
These figures show the positive dynamics of the IT sector's development in the regional center, which contributes to economic growth and infrastructure development in the region.
Despite the challenges of war, the IT sector continues to be the largest exporter of services in Ukraine. Computer services account for 41.6% of the total volume of exported services, ranking first among all categories. For comparison, in 2024 this figure was 37.4%.
According to IT Research Ukraine 2025, export revenue from IT services increased by 3.3% to $6.6 billion, which is $210 million more than in 2024.
The geography of Ukrainian IT service exports covers countries such as the US, Malta, the UK, Cyprus, and Israel, which indicates the high competitiveness of Ukrainian IT companies in international markets.
The IT sector is undoubtedly one of the main drivers of the country's economic development, creating new jobs, attracting investment, and increasing Ukraine's competitiveness on the world stage.
