Stanislav Shykalov, Chairman of the Board of the Transcarpathian IT Cluster.

Evaluating the path of the local IT cluster, the participants agreed that the organization already serves as a platform for consolidating the region’s IT community. It’s not only about communication between companies, but also about forming a unified voice for business in interaction with authorities and partners.

Representatives of the regional administration emphasized that they view the IT sector as a strategic part of the regional economy. In 2025, collaboration with the IT business manifested in formats of dialogue, joint events, and company participation in regional initiatives.

At the same time, an honest position was expressed: the government does not always have ready tools for direct support of IT, but it can create favorable conditions — through regulations, communication, international cooperation, and the integration of IT solutions into community needs.

The participants agreed on the key areas for development in 2026:

Attracting international projects and investors;
Supporting product companies and startups;
Developing human capital and local expertise.

A shared understanding emerged that IT development in the region is possible only through specific joint actions, not isolated initiatives.

Therefore, each party requires more open dialogue and deeper partnerships, and 2026 should be the year of:

Concrete joint programs;
Attracting international opportunities;
Strengthening the region’s role in the national and European IT landscape.

Following the discussion, participants outlined the key directions for joint work to strengthen the role of IT as a driver of the Transcarpathian economy.
